  • "NEW/ON-GOING" Providing on-site safety personnel for on-site safety & health compliance, technical direction and advice for management required to supervise the safety & health program and policies while on-site. Ensuring the company and the job sites are in full compliance with the customer's requirements, to include all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Providing the consulting services and technical direction and advice that management needs to supervise the companies' safety & health program and policies. Ensuring the company and the job sites are in full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Developing technical guidance and maintaining safety & health programs to identify hazards within the company, on the job sites, and activities. Recommending safety & health programs and activities that will develop and maintain incentives for the motivation of the employees working towards an accident free workplace.
  • Training Courses, Training Instruction, and Safety & Health Programs are also presented in Bi-lingual formats (Spanish & English).
  • Providing training safety & health programs for management, supervisors, and the craft personnel.
  • Providing training outlines and material for supervisors to use in their safety meetings and training.
  • Developing technical guidance, advising all levels of management on matters pertaining to safety & health, to include developing technical guidance and maintaining the chain of command and a network to communicate safety & health matters within the organization. Preparing and distributing regular reports on the status of safety & health to the management and supervision.
  • Developing technical guidance and maintaining the accident reporting system, to include vehicle accidents. Investigating accidents, formulating, recommending, and administering corrective action(s) to eliminate accident/incident causes. Developing technical guidance and maintaining records of accidents and near misses that have taken place during company operations on forms designated by Company OSHA, MSHA, the insurance company, site specific, and other authorized agencies.
  • Cooperating with project management personnel in the safety & health process of job bids, job sites and activities to include safety & health planning for complex hazardous jobs where a number of other companies, sub-contractors, and crews are involved.
  • Cooperating with project management personnel in the safety & health training of employees.
  • Conducting inspections to observe the safety conditions and work practices on job sites, to include paperwork with recommended corrected actions.
  • Developing a written disciplinary program with enforcement procedures. Provide training for management, supervisors in disciplinary procedures and practices. Developing technical guidance for enforcing disciplinary procedures and practices for repeated violators of safety & health and driver safety rules.
  • Developing technical guidance and maintaining permanent safety & health records for company files while developing technical guidance and maintaining confidentiality for all employees, families, and customers.
  • Monthly Job Safety Site Audits to include paperwork (forms).
  • Developing technical guidance, maintaining, and preparing all notices required by OSHA, MSHA, Federal, State, Local, and other appropriate agencies for posting at the company office and each job site location when required in accordance with designated time regulations; for example, the OSHA 300 Log Annual Summary of Injuries and Illness and ensure that it is properly posted. Providing safety data, record keeping, reporting info, audits, OSHA & MSHA inspections, accident & near miss, sub-contractor requirement, various safety & compliance misc. forms. Will perform monthly and annual audit(s) to company records to obtain base-line data to aid in the company safety performance goals and the safety & health, wellness programs for company employees and their families.
  • Developing technical guidance to maintain and lower the Company, Inc. (LTR) Lost Time Rate & (RIR) Recordable Incident Rate. These rates would lower the EMR, which would lower insurance and overhead costs. Communicate how these rates affect customer relationships during the bidding process and annual insurance review.
  • Develop procedures to work with company management and your Insurance Brokerage Firm auditing records on a monthly, quarterly, and annually basis to look at patterns of frequency and types of accidents and incidents. These audits would include claims review for all accidents and incidents, open and previously closed claims which would aid in the action steps to prevent frequency of such claims in the future. Develop a Company base-line of accidents and incidents, short and long term goal(s) on an annual basis to set minimum achievable goals, which will further the company's progress in attaining the lowest rate possible.
  • Developing technical guidance to maintain the Company experience modification rate (EMR) goals, to lower the percentage rate, which would lower insurance premium costs annually. Provide guidance to work aggressively with the insurance agency to come up with short term & long term goals to assist Company lowering the EMR
  • Developing technical guidance to maintain workers compensation practices, follow-up, communication, and guidance with company employees, hospitals, clinics, and insurance agencies. Provide guidance to maintain record files and material relating to injury reporting, workers compensation, and follow-up compliance. The objective is to maintain the highest quality of care for employees, while reducing workers compensation costs, insurance premiums. Developing return to work and light duty procedures and activities, bringing employees back to full duty as quickly as possible. This is an area that guidance will be very aggressive to achieve the results the company's annual goals has set, maintaining the flow of communication with all involved parties and keep a strong grasp of all injuries.
  • Developing technical guidance and maintaining driver training & compliance. To help drivers formulate strategies and training, that would lead to improve driving safety. The objective is to reduce driver fleet accident rates, by establishing a company standard for safe driving. Audit monthly and annual accident/incident records. Review MVR's annually to verify all drivers are cleared to operate company vehicles. Other Training to include: road rage, rush hour, winter, and heavy traffic driving safety.

  • Developing technical guidance for health & wellness programs. Strengthen the organization's healthcare plan. To enhance the physical & mental health for company employees & their families, this would lower future insurance health premiums and company costs. Audit the patterns of health of the employees and their families, working closely with the insurance agencies. Developing short term and long-term goals to aid the employees and their families on prevention, education, and lifestyle. Developing training opportunities for employees and their families on a voluntary basis to aid in their lifestyle changes, which will lower company health costs.
  • Developing technical guidance for training with management and supervisors to conduct inspections to observe the safety and health conditions and work practices are adhered to.
  • Developing technical guidance for manager/supervisor safety program (awareness & responsibility), manager/supervisor "Safety Development Program & Training Series". This material is a 13 part series that has been developed to train managers/supervisors the importance of the role you play in your safety process and as a leader. It gives managers/supervisors the tools and techniques needed to accomplish their leadership roles that are not normally passed on when they receive their promotion or new position.
